Se dit de plantes ou de champignons qui colonisent préférentiellement les milieux incendiés.
Une association anthracophile occupe les fauldes ou places à feu récentes, ainsi que le bord des sentiers aménagés où ont été déposées des scories d'origine industrielle. L'envahissement muscinal est assuré par une population souvent exclusive de Funaria hygrometrica, couverte de capsules, où s'associent parfois quelques petits discomycètes à la coupe hyméniale orangée (Octospora hetieri, О. polytrichi...).
